Coconut shell

Coconut shell is polished and shaped.

In Haiti, coconut trees give a lot : water, flesh…
and the shell that can be used in many ways like
a recipient for example.

To make a jewel, shells are shaped and polished to
show their beautiful dark brown texture.

Our pendants exist on cords (nylon and cotton),
on seashells or seeds necklaces.

Some items are mixed of coconut and cedar

Our long necklaces are made of vegetal seeds,
so called Job's tears.
This gramineae grows in many tropical
to subtropical areas.
The seed shapes have various nicknames :
fat tears, white, blueish or brown.
They have a varnished aspect.
